Dark Harbor
(Aluminum Version Redesign Intent)

To promote 'Bezier Design and Construction' True Round  steel and aluminum boat building's method I will be redesigning the classic Gaff rigged design, Dark Harbor,  for aluminum construction in Real Time,

(Well, My Real Time)

It is not the objective of this redesign to create a replica of the orginial design but to bring the classic appeal of Dark Harbor into the 21st century with the addition of a propulsion system, Toilet, electonics, enhanced companionway hatch design, and a 7/8 Fractional Rig, while striving to keep Dark Harbors classic charm  as shown in Dark Harbor's gaff rigged sail-plan below.

As a measure of success, the feel-performance of the orginial plank on frame design will be compared to the redesigned aluminum version, with the aboved upgrades, by way of Aero-hydro 'Velocity Prediction Software'.

Dark Harbor Sailplan

I am looking forward to having fun with this redesign and your comments.  Your comments will help direct me in the many decision that I will need to make the 21st century version of Dark Harbor viable.
